This was a Beautiful Historical building donated to the lovely City of Christchurch New Zealand by Thomas Edmonds. Designed by Victor Hean and opened on 11 Nov. 1929, it was converted to a restaurant in 1989. I have only known this lovely old building as a restaurant and had the pleasure of dinning there. Since the damage to this building by the Christchurch Earthquakes over the last couple of years, I am not sure if it will last much longer. This was an artwork painted in memory of this lovely old building.
